Privacy Policy
What information this site collects, why, how long it is kept, and the rights you have over it.
What is collected, why, how long it is held and what you can ask for. Written to describe what this website actually does, which — at present — is very little.
01Who is responsible
The data controller for information submitted through this website is MiniSchnauzerpups, contactable at info@minischnauzerpups.com.
Written requests can be sent to that address at any time and are answered by a person.
02How the forms work
This is a static website with one server-side endpoint: the form handler at /php/send-mail.php. When you submit the contact, application or reservation form, the details are posted to that endpoint on this site's own server and relayed by email through the business mailbox at info@minischnauzerpups.com.
No third-party form service is involved. Your submission is not sent to Formspree, HubSpot, Mailchimp, a CRM or any similar processor. It goes to one inbox, and a copy of it goes to the address you supplied so you have your own record.
Three anti-spam measures run at submission: a hidden honeypot field, a minimum completion time, and a short per-address rate limit. None of them profiles you, sets a cookie, or retains anything beyond a timestamp file that the server discards.
No account system exists. No payment is taken on this website at any point.
03What the forms collect
- Contact form: name, email, telephone, region, the puppy you asked about, preferred contact method and your message.
- Application form: the above plus household composition, home type, outdoor space, tenure, working pattern, previous dog experience, veterinary practice and your written answers.
- Correspondence: emails and messages you send, and the replies.
- Transaction records: the signed agreement, payment confirmations and handoff records.
Do not send financial account details, identity documents or medical information through a web form. None of it is needed to enquire about a puppy, and none of the forms on this site ask for it.
04Why it is used
To answer your enquiry, to assess whether a placement is suitable, to perform the contract if you buy a puppy, to keep records required for the health guarantee and the return policy, and to comply with legal obligations. Nothing is sold, rented or shared for marketing.
05Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies of its own and includes no advertising or tracking pixels.
It loads a web font from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to that service and it will see your IP address. Where analytics is introduced later, it must be disclosed here, and consent must be collected first where the applicable law requires it.
The site includes an internal event layer (window.dataLayer) which records interactions in your browser's memory only. Nothing is transmitted from it until an analytics provider is deliberately connected.
06Retention
Enquiries that do not lead to a purchase should be deleted after a defined period. Transaction records must be kept for as long as the health guarantee, the return obligation and any tax or legal requirement demand.
Enquiries that do not lead to a purchase are deleted after twelve months. Transaction records — the signed agreement, payment confirmations and handoff records — are kept for seven years, because the health guarantee, the lifetime return obligation and tax law all reach back further than a single season.
07Photographs and testimonials
Customer photographs and written stories are published only with explicit, recorded permission from the person concerned. Permission for a photograph including a child requires particular care and should be given by a parent or guardian in writing.
Permission can be withdrawn at any time and the material will be removed promptly on request.
08Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access the information held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy in a portable form. To exercise any of these, write to info@minischnauzerpups.com.
Where you are unhappy with the response, you may have the right to complain to the data protection authority for your jurisdiction.
09Security
This website is served over HTTPS. Where forms are connected, they must use server-side validation, rate limiting and spam protection, and any inbox receiving personal data must be access-controlled.
No transmission over the internet is completely secure. Please do not send anything through a web form that you would not be comfortable having in an email inbox.
10Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Where a change affects how existing personal data is used, affected individuals should be notified directly.
Questions about this policy?
A question about a clause is exactly why the clause is published. Ask before you commit, not afterwards.
