Puppy Purchase Policy

What is being sold, what is included in the price, who may buy, and the order in which a purchase proceeds.

Miniature Schnauzer littermates at home
Policy 01 Last updated: August 2026 Applies to MiniSchnauzerpups.com

This policy governs the sale of a puppy by MiniSchnauzerpups through MiniSchnauzerpups.com. It sets out what the price includes, who is eligible to buy, and the fixed order in which a purchase proceeds.

01What is being sold

The seller offers individual companion puppies of the Miniature Schnauzer breed, raised in a private home and released to buyers at 10 weeks of age.

Each puppy is a single, identified animal listed on this website with a unique internal identifier, a photograph of that specific puppy, and a stated status of AVAILABLE, INQUIRY, RESERVED or SOLD. RESERVED means a reservation has been taken and that puppy is held for another buyer; it is not a completed sale. A purchase concerns one identified puppy. It does not confer a place in an unspecified future litter, a right of first refusal over future puppies, or any interest in the seller's breeding stock.

02The price and what it includes

The price of a puppy is $600. That figure covers the puppy itself and the following items provided at handoff:

  1. The veterinary, vaccination and deworming records held for that puppy on the date of handoff.
  2. A written feeding sheet describing the puppy's current food, portion and schedule.
  3. A comfort item carrying the scent of the litter.
  4. A countersigned copy of the purchase agreement and the health guarantee.

Transport is not included in the puppy price and is charged separately at the rate for the option selected: $200 for airport delivery, $250 for home delivery, or nothing at all if the buyer collects in person.

No other charge is made. There is no documentation fee, crate fee, handling fee, holding fee or payment surcharge. If a figure is not stated in this policy or in the signed agreement, it is not payable.

03Who may buy

The buyer must be at least eighteen years of age and must be purchasing on their own behalf. The buyer must be legally permitted to keep a dog at the address where the puppy will live; where the buyer rents, written landlord permission must exist.

The seller may decline any sale, at any point before the agreement is signed, where the seller forms the view that the placement would not be in the puppy's interests. A declined application is not a judgement of the applicant; it is a judgement about the fit between one dog and one household.

04Prohibited purposes

Puppies are sold as companion animals. The buyer agrees that the puppy will not be:

  1. resold, transferred or given to a pet shop, dealer, broker, auction, raffle or online marketplace;
  2. used for laboratory, research or testing purposes of any kind;
  3. used in fighting, baiting or any activity causing deliberate harm;
  4. bred without the seller's prior written agreement;
  5. kept permanently outdoors, chained, or otherwise housed contrary to the welfare standards in the buyer responsibilities policy.

Breach of this clause entitles the seller to seek the return of the puppy without refund, in addition to any other remedy available in law.

05Order of the transaction

The sequence below is fixed and is not varied for convenience:

  1. Enquiry or application. No commitment and no payment.
  2. Discussion. Questions in both directions, and additional photographs or a video call of the puppy on request.
  3. Selection of travel method. Confirmed as available on the intended date.
  4. Written summary. Puppy price, travel fee, total, reservation and remaining balance, together with all policy documents in full.
  5. Signature. The purchase agreement is signed by both parties.
  6. Reservation. Payment instructions are issued privately and the $300 reservation is paid.
  7. Balance. Before travel is booked, or at handoff for in-person pickup.
  8. Handoff. Puppy, records and countersigned documents are transferred to the buyer.

No payment instruction is issued before signature, and no payment is requested before the buyer has been given the complete document set.

06Availability and status changes

A puppy's status on this website reflects the position at the time of the last update, and availability can change. A puppy is only held for a buyer once a reservation has been received against a signed agreement.

Where two buyers pursue the same puppy simultaneously, priority follows the first signed agreement with a received reservation. The seller will inform the unsuccessful buyer promptly and will not accept a reservation for a puppy that is already held.

07Accuracy of listings

Coat descriptions on this website describe what is visible in that puppy's photograph. Coat colour and pattern in this breed can change with age, and the seller makes no representation about adult appearance, adult size or adult coat.

Where a particular fact matters to the buyer's decision, the buyer should ask for it in writing before signing so that it forms part of the agreement.

08Related policies

This policy operates alongside the reservation policy, the refund policy, the cancellation policy, the health guarantee, the buyer responsibilities, the return and rehoming policy and the relevant transport policy. Where this policy and the signed agreement conflict, the signed agreement governs.

Questions about this policy?

A question about a clause is exactly why the clause is published. Ask before you commit, not afterwards.
